Kizomba Kollective was formed in 2016 when a group of friends, passionate about Kizomba, started to meet regularly to practice their technique, create choreographies & talk about everything Kizomba.
In 2017 we started running regular weekly classes & parties at The Burdekin Hotel on Oxford St, Darlinghurst. We have also worked with International & National Kizomba artists holding special workshops in Sydney to further grow the knowledge of our Sydney Kizomba scene.
In February 2018 we ran our first "Live to Kiz Festival", at The Commune in Waterloo, featuring 8 international Kizomba artists. Our annual “Live to Kiz” is now the highlight of our calendar & heading into its 7th edition in 2025.
Jasmine a& Edyta, as well as the rest of the KK team are dedicated to continually developing their knowledge & regularly travelling to Europe to deepen their understanding of Kizomba, Kiz Fusion & Urban Kiz.
Everyone at Kizomba Kollective is passionate about Kizomba in all its forms. We love the music as much as the dance & we love sharing it with as many people as possible.
